Food in New York

September 02, 2016

Food is of great abundance in New York. Practically every block has some type of food like bakeries and restaurants. I stopped at quite a few great places to eat meals and desserts. Many of these places have vegan and gluten-free options. Here are a few of my favorites...

Noglu
Gluten-Free French Bakery. My sister can't have gluten so any opportunity to have something gluten-free other than salads and fries is a blessing. She heard of a gluten-free French bakery called Noglu which only has two locations in Paris and one in New York. So, we went and the pastries are SO beyond delicious. I've never had something gluten-free that was that amazing. Also, the French woman working there was so nice! She brought us plates and water while we ate upstairs.

Eli Zabar
Grocery Store and Bakery. After going to Noglu, I wanted to get some macarons from Ladurée; however, Ladurée was on the other part of Madison Ave. So, I settled for Eli Zabar which was pretty close to Noglu. Eli Zabar sells baked goods, drinks, food, and more. I got a pack of assorted mini macarons and they were delicious!

by CHLOE.
Vegan Restaurant (Gluten Free Options). I've heard so much about this place. Bloggers seem to love this place, so I had to see what the hype was about. I made my way over to by CHLOE and I can assure you that it lives up to the hype. This vegan food is SO GOOD! The staff was friendly as well. The only downside is that the restaurant is kind of small so seating is pretty limited; however, we waited a few minutes and snatched some seats once  some people left. If you are planning on getting it to go, I recommend it!

The Original Chinatown Ice Cream Factory
Ice Cream Shop. After going to by CHLOE, we returned to my dad's beloved ice cream shop in Chinatown. Seriously though, this ice cream is amazing! With such nice staff and sweet flavors, you can't leave this shop without a smile on your face. I got Green Tea Cookies N Cream which was so good! Also pictured is my sister's Taro ice cream which was delicious. Mmmm!
